All of our missionaries are expected to undertake Deputation Meetings around our churches whereby they are given an opportunity to present before the people the work to which they believe God has called them. The offerings which are taken up at these meetings are sent into the Mission Board and are kept for the work of that individual missionary. Each foreign missionary will do a round of such meetings once every three years, and those on the home field will be expected to visit each congregation once in a three year cycle.

These meetings are special times for our people to meet those who work under the Mission Board and to hear of the challenges of the work they represent and to rejoice in what has already been accomplished. They are to be used as ideal opportunities by the visiting missionary to thank the Believers for their prayerful remembrance and financial support.

Individuals or congregations may decide if they wish to send in monthly covenant support to the missionaries which they have been led to support. This monthly covenant support is the steady income which is needed to keep a missionary in the work. Each worker needs to raise 70% of their income through such deputation meetings and regular covenant support.

If every Christian within our denomination was to take on just one missionary and provide them with regular monthly covenant support this would make such a vast difference to our finances within the Mission Board.

The Mission Board also is funded through the offerings which are raised each month in our congregations for the Missionary Council. A monthly grant is made to the Mission Board by the Missionary Council which helps to plug the 30% of the income needed by our missionaries.

Special Missionary Rallies which are held in our congregations are also a wonderful way to highlight the cause of missions and to raise funds for the work.

Oftentimes individuals are lead of God to send in support for missionary causes. It is humbling to see how God moves in hearts to supply emergency needs which arise in the work. Truly He knoweth what we need even before it arises.

Some aged saints who are without immediate dependants have also left legacies and bequests to the Mission Board. This is a good way to make sure that even when your work on earth is over that your material possessions which you have left behind are used to help advance the work of God.

As a Board we can say with one of old “that God’s work done God’s way has never lacked God’s supplies”. We are glad that He knows the needs in the missionary work of our church and has promised to supply them according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

SUPPORTING A PROJECT
CAPITAL PROJECTS
The Mission Board has asked the Missionary Council to oversee the supervision of missionary projects which are approved by the Board. In our recent visits to Kenya and Nepal, a number of needs were highlighted. These have been approved as projects we are happy to sponsor, as the Lord enables. It is recognised that it is impossible to finance every need, but as the Lord touches hearts, we are happy to set before you the burdens our missionaries share. A list of these projects is given below and an outline is given regarding how you can be involved practically.

HOW CAN I HELP?
There are so many ways in which these projects can be carried forward. Individuals can make contributions which may be fully are partly affordable to them. Further more a group could decide to help with a project, according to their means. We are suggesting that the following groups could take on a specific project:
A local Church
Youth Fellowship
Bible Class
Sunday School
Ladies Meeting
A Group of Believers
A Family
UKRAINE AID
The Crisis in Ukraine has touched all of our hearts as we have watched the invasion and war scenes and heard reports of the many Christians in in the cities and towns across the country who are under attack. It is estimated that around half a million refugees have fled the conflict and have made their way to the neighbouring countries, and that number is rising.

The Mission Board have determined that the best way to support these people in crisis is to work through partner agencies who have workers and connections on the ground in Ukraine and the neighbouring countries. They are:-

• Slavic Gospel Association - www.sga.org.uk
• Faith in Action Missions - www.faithinactionmissions.com
• Betania Baptist Church, Timisoara, Romania - https://betania-tm.ro/

The advice which we have received is that the quickest way to support this work is to provide direct funding to the people on the ground who have good access to purchase the supplies that are needed to support those in great need.

We will pass on all of the funds that we receive to these three partners, so you can be sure that your support is going directly to those on the ground at this time.

Therefore, we issue this appeal to seek your financial support for these people in great need.

Please click on the Donate button above to make a donation online, or contact the Mission Board office for transfer details

Your local church will also be able to collect donations and forward them to the Mission Board.

Thank you again for your support and please pray that the Lord will intervene, and that men, women and young people will be rescued from immediate danger and that the workers there will have the opportunity to spread the Gospel in the midst of this crisis.
MANAGEMENT OF RESTRICTED FUNDS
Please note that in the event of a fund being oversubscribed, or a project being completed, or a missionary retiring or resigning, we reserve the right to reallocate funds to the most appropriate Fund in support of the Lord’s work.
