FAREWELL SERVICE FOR MISS NOREEN MCAFEE
A large congregation gathered in Hebron Free Presbyterian Church on Thursday, 19th June to bid a fond farewell to Miss Noreen McAfee, missionary to Kenya, who is returning to her sphere of service after a period of furlough in Ulster. Click here to see more photos in the Gallery.

Presentations were made on behalf of the Mission Board and Hebron FPC. Rev. David Park, Chairman of the Missionary Council and Minister of Hebron FPC directed the attention of those gathered to the Aaronic Blessing (Numbers Chapter 6 verses 22 -27), the sentiments of which he desired for Noreen.

In response Noreen thanked all who had come. She acknowledged the support of the Mission Board and the Missionary Council, and in particular the work of Rev. Harris and Rev. Park. Thanks were also extended to her home congregation for their fellowship, love, friendship and prayers, her family for their love and attention, and to Rev. Park for his help and encouragement over many months.

Though excited at the prospect of returning to the land of her calling, Noreen requested prayer for Kenya with all its needs.

Rev. Harris then led in a ‘sending forth’ prayer, asking the Lord to bless Noreen and to watch over her family.

BUILDING WORK IN SPAIN
We were very encouraged with the visit of five men from my hometown in Kilkeel, County Down, Northern Ireland. They gave of themselves to put down tiles on the floor, plaster walls plus do some electrical work and plumbing as well as carpentry in the basement of our home. What a tremendous change they made in just three days. Click Here to see more photos in the Gallery.

We are very indebted to our good brother the Rev. Andrew Patterson who worked along with the men, plus arranged the work team from his church, consisting of Mr. John Graham and his brother Gary, Mr. David Cousins and Mr. Robert Speers. Rev Patterson also preached at the midweek service, which the people appreciated immensely. We very much enjoyed the fellowship with them all. May the Lord richly bless the men there in the Mourne congregation for their interest in the work of God here.

SPECIAL MEETING IN ALCORCON
On Saturday the 14th of June we had a special meeting for past pupils of the sabbath School. The period covered the years we have been ministering in the Church in Alcorcón. One of the activities of our new church hall is the Sabbath School work and out of this grew the idea for this outreach. An invitation was sent to as many as we could contact. The invitation included their families as well. In all 14 turned up, as well as many of our own folks. The Lord gave us a very blessed time. We sang some choruses from that period and there were also some requests, indicating that a seed was sown during those years.
