KENYA CHOIR RALLY
The churches of BCFC held their first Joint Choir Rally in preparation for the making of a CD, on Saturday, 28th June at the BCFC Church Bendera. There were 60 choir members in attendance representing 15 of our churches. Click here for more photos in the gallery.

We were greatly encouraged by all those who willingly had a part in making everything come together – cleaning, cooking, registration, collating of choir books, directing of music parts. The morning sessions saw a separation of the choir into part practice with various leaders; then, following the lunch break a time of prayer, ending with joint singing of what had been practiced. We hope to have a second rally sometime in Aug/Sept. Pray for this joint choir and also for the individual church choirs that are going on as well.

UPDATE FROM COLIN MAXWELL
I'm just back from holidays when we went back down to Cork to visit old friends. I am Preaching tonight, 16th July, in the prayer meeting in Sixmilecross FPC and then going away tomorrow to witness for Chris at the RC Marian Shrine at Knock in Co. Mayo. It is like stepping back into time, however, no matter what the age is, the "everlasting gospel" is still the power of God unto salvation. Your prayers and support are always appreciated.

A NEW DOOR OPENING IN UGANDA
The Emmanuel Christian School was started in 2004 with sixteen children by Rev Noel Kelly and his wife Stella. The school is situated in Nsaalu in the Kalungu district of Uganda which is approximately eighty five miles from the capital Kampala.

The school has grown considerably in the last ten years. The current enrolment is now two hundred and thirty five children with twelve teachers and a number of other auxiliary staff. The children come mostly from Uganda but there are also children at the school from neighbouring east African countries such as Congo, Rwanda and Tanzania. In addition some sixty children Board on the School Campus.

The School property sits on a 2.6 acre site which is fully enclosed by a security wall. There is a full range of buildings on the Campus including classrooms, dormitories, staff living quarters and a Church.

At the beginning of 2014 Rev Kelly wrote to the Mission Board to ask if they would consider taking over the School. The Board felt it was wise before taking a decision to send a delegation to visit the School. This delegation consisted of Mr George McConnell and Rev David McMillan from Ulster and also Miss Margaret Russell and Rev and Mrs Malcolm Patterson from Kenya. The party visited the School in early April and were very encouraged by all that they saw and heard.
As a result of the very favourable report brought back by this delegation the Mission Board recommended to the Presbytery at its May meeting that our Denomination would take over the running of the Emmanuel School and the Presbytery gave its unanimous support to this venture.

Rev Kelly’s intention is to give the School property to our denomination in its entirety but there are some legal matters that need to be sorted out before this can take place. As we are waiting on these matters to be addressed the Mission Board will be applying to register our denomination in Uganda and also a Fund has been commenced to help in the running of the School in the interim period. NEW CHILDREN'S TRACTS AVAILABLE
The Mission Board has worked closely with various children’s workers across our churches to write and produce our own range of 5 gospel tracts for young children. These tracts contain a very clear and concise Gospel message, which we believe as a Mission Board will be ideal in child evangelistic labours.

The artwork and design style of the tracts is professional and has a consistent style across the range of 5 tracts, making them suitable for use at 5 day Bible clubs as well as general distribution within our communities and schools. They can be bought separately or collectively, whichever way is most suited to your needs. They are as follows:-

• A Wonderful God and a Wonderful World
• Everybody loves Gifts
• A Very Important Question
• The Book of Books
• Jesus is my Saviour

We have also produced a booklet for young converts amongst the boys and girls called “The Starter Kit for the Christian Race.” This is an ideal booklet to give out in counselling to children who have professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
