...the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few

EMMANUEL SCHOOL UPDATE
Greetings from Emmanuel Christian School Uganda and thank you for your continued financial support and prayers for the Work of God in the school and church here.

I arrived back safely in late January with just enough time to settle in before the commencement of the new school term. The start of the school year is always a busy time with parents and students reporting and applications for admission, but the Lord undertook in His own mighty way. We have 362 students at the school this year and a waiting list of others who would like to join. Pray for each of these children and young people, that the Lord would work in their hearts and lives. We rejoice that the Lord has already saved one precious soul among them this year.

Our results for the 2018 national exams also arrived at the start of the year and we praise God for helping our students to pass once again. Primary Seven students have moved on to High School, many of them here at Emmanuel, and our Senior Four school leavers have also moved on to other courses of study. Remember these young people and especially the four young men whom we are sponsoring for A-levels at Kako Senior Secondary School (January, Elijah, Moses and Marvin).

With regard to our staff, we are delighted that all were able to come back and serve here at Emmanuel for another year. Please do pray that they would know wisdom and grace for every new day. Madam Juliet gave birth to a lovely baby girl (Abigael) on the 11th February and we thank the Lord for the safe arrival of this little one.

Master Israel and Madam Lillian were married on 11th May in the first wedding conducted in the church since we have taken over the work here. We were pleased to have Rev Mercer and Rev Brown, from the Mission Board, at Emmanuel this week and they were able to take part in the wedding service.

I moved into my new accommodation at the school in late February and I thank the Lord for this wonderful provision. Andy and the Magherafelt team also did a wonderful job on the new toilet block for students and it is ready for use with just a few finishing touches needed on the outside.

In the summer, we look forward to welcoming a team of young people from Hebron Free Presbyterian Church Ballymoney, God-willing. They will be here to conduct a Vacation Bible School with the children and young people. Please remember all the preparations for this in your prayers.

Thank you again for being labourers together with us.
May God bless you richly.
